Au Pairs citizens of the EU, the EEA countries and Switzerland are allowed to drive in any of these countries with the license of their home country, as long as it remains valid. If they were not, then they can drive for one year with their local or international license after which they must take the driving test of the host country.
If a Host Family requires a driver Au Pair it will be under their entire responsibility. They must pay for all vehicle expenses. The Au Pair will not pay for any damage caused to the family’s vehicle.
They must subscribe the insurance policy that is necessary for their Au Pair is covered while driving. They shall also pay for any driving lessons their Au Pair may need.
If the Host Family let their Au Pair to use the family’s vehicle for personal purposes, she must pay for the proportional petrol she had consumed. Au Pairs should be very careful in this regard.
The Agency shall not be liable in any respect with regard to this matter.
