Que es una Au Pair
Au Pairs must always be very careful, especially at night.  You should never travel alone at night but with friends and never take a ride from strangers or people you do not know well. Always arrange with a reputable taxi to pick you up. The taxi driver should have his identity card. You should give your name when you call the taxi company and then you should ask the driver to confirm it before you get into the taxi. Never take a ride from someone who offers you a lift and says he is a taxi driver. If you have not booked a taxi and there is not any other transport to get back home you should call your Host Family. They will arrange to pick you up or they will collect you. However, try not to bother them very often.

The Host Family must give their Au Pair a little time to settle into her new way of life and family, and to all members of the family to get use to have a stranger in their house. Both parties should have a little patient.

Working hours and pocket money must be clearly specified in both the family application form and the letter of invitation.

Be positive and enthusiastic in your attitude and when your Host Family asks you to do something, make sure that it is done. Use your initiative and be willing to do things without being asked.

Your stay with the Host Family as an Au Pair will be successful if you are able to adapt to their life style. You must keep in mind that it was your own choice to share the life of a foreign family and so you should be flexible and follow their living patterns. Please do not criticize food, habits, education... Think positive and respect this new culture.

PREMIER AU PAIRS will provide you support and advice throughout your stay with the Host Family.
